PCI DSS: Merchant Compliance Portal
VigiTrust have developed the Merchant Compliance Portal (MCP) for the retail market. The MCP solution is specifically designed to small and mid-sized business with enterprise-level security at accessible pricing.
The MCP is a web based PCI DSS compliance validation platform for Level 3 & Level 4 merchants, it comprises of four modules:
- Education: ‘Credit Card Security 101‘is an on-line course designed especially for retail staff. It includes a test to ensure that users have understood the training, and it is available on demand. It easy to administer so that that users can be trained upon hire and once annually as per requirement 12.6 of PCI DSS
- Scanning: The MCP provides an enterprise-grade network scanning service approved by the PCI Council for organizations to perform quarterly scans as mandated by the PCI DSS.
- Security/compliance policies and procedures templates. The PCI DSS requires merchants to have appropriate security policies & procedures. The MCP supplies template policies & procedures which are ready for customization.
- SAQ function: The PCI DSS requires Level 3 & Level 4 merchants to fill out a Self Assessment Questionnaire (SAQ). The MCP includes an SAQ tool which enables users to complete the appropriate SAQ, and then print it out so that a proper copy can be sent to their acquiring bank.
The MCP is available on-line without the need for any installation, and it comes with on-line support. MCP provides businesses with a versatile and cost-efficient option for deploying PCI DSS compliance.
